To calculate square footage (sqft) of a space, follow these simple steps:

  1. Measure the length – Use a tape measure to find how long the area is (in feet).
  2. Measure the width – Measure how wide the area is (in feet).
  3. Multiply – Multiply length × width to get the total square footage.


Example:
If a room is 10 feet long and 5 feet wide, the calculation is:
10 × 5 = 50 sqft

If the space isn’t a perfect rectangle, break it into smaller rectangles, calculate each area, and add them up!
